Profit leak calculator

The one leak you can feel: the calls nobody answered.

Put in how many calls ring out in a week, what an average job is worth, and how many quotes you close. The calculator shows what those calls cost you per day and per year, next to the daily cost of an AI receptionist that answers them. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

Your numbers stay in your browser. No email required.

Three inputs, one assumption

What are unanswered calls costing you?

The math runs in your browser. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent, and you don’t have to leave an email to see the result. One published assumption is applied: in a 2025 CallRail survey of 1,000 U.S. consumers, 78% said they had abandoned a business after an unanswered call (CallRail consumer survey, September 2025). Everything else is your own numbers, and you can change any of them.

Honest scope

What this calculator can and can’t tell you

This sizes one leak: calls that ring out while you’re on a job. It’s the easiest leak to feel and the easiest to put a number on, because you already know roughly how many times a week you pick up the phone and see a missed call from a number you don’t recognize.

It’s also only one of six places a service business loses money. The other five can’t be sized from a slider: how inquiries get recorded in the first place, how many follow-ups a quote gets before it’s dropped, how many booked appointments actually show, what happens to a customer after the job is done, and how reviews get asked for, watched, and answered. Sizing those takes your Google Business Profile, your competitors’ listings, your pipeline, and your review history in front of us.

That is what the AI Profit Gap Assessment is for: a 60-minute session and a department-by-department analysis across all six areas, delivered as a written report with a prioritized 90-day roadmap. If it doesn’t show you exactly where your business is losing money and what it costs to fix, we refund it.

What happens to the 6:41pm callIt rings until voicemail. You’re on a roof, in a crawlspace, or at dinner. You see the missed call at 8:15.The Voice AI receptionist picks up on the first rings. If a call does ring out, a text goes back from your business number within seconds.
What the caller does nextThey hang up and dial the next number. In a 2025 CallRail survey, 82% of consumers said they would call a competitor if a business didn’t pick up (CallRail consumer survey, September 2025).They answer a question or two, get a time on your calendar, and get a confirmation text. The job is in your CRM before you’ve looked at your phone.

The math

How the calculator works

How does the calculator do the math?

Three inputs and one assumption. Calls missed per week times 52 gives calls missed per year. The CallRail figure is applied to estimate how many of those callers are gone for good: in the 2025 survey, 78% of consumers said they had abandoned a business after an unanswered call. That number is multiplied by your close rate and your average job value for a yearly figure, and divided by 365 for the daily one. Every input is yours to change, and the result changes with it.

Where does the 78% come from?

A CallRail consumer survey of 1,000 U.S. adults published in September 2025. CallRail sells call tracking, so it is a vendor survey, and we label it that way. It measures what consumers say they do, not what your specific callers did. That is why it is the only outside figure in the calculator and why it is shown, not hidden.

Is this a prediction of what I’ll earn if I fix it?

No. It is an estimate of what unanswered calls are costing you now, built from your own inputs. The daily figure beside it is the price of the Voice AI receptionist, not a return. We don’t publish client results, and the calculator doesn’t promise any.

What if I don’t know my close rate or average job value?

Start with the defaults for your trade. They are illustrative starting points, not industry data, and you should change them as soon as you have last month’s invoices in front of you. The assessment uses your real numbers, not defaults.

Why doesn’t the calculator model the whole business?

Because five of the six gaps can’t be estimated from a slider. Lead capture, follow-up, show rate, retention, and reputation each depend on records only you have: your Google Business Profile, your pipeline, your review history, and what your competitors are doing. That is the work the AI Profit Gap Assessment does in a 60-minute session and a written report.
